What is Coaching?

To me, coaching is an alliance between Coach and Client that explores a set of objectives, goals, habits, or relationships.  The desired outcome may be quite explicit and often comes in an, "I want to be a better..." statement.  The movement towards that outcome within coaching is creative and immersive, mining for the values you wish to uphold and maximizing the potential you wish to unleash.  The insights gained during coaching will likely serve not only the original goals, but many other aspects of life, work, and relationships.

Who Do You Coach?

I enjoy working with individuals who are in transition, such as new parents returning to work after welcoming a child (this is really two transitions!), or individuals who are on the threshold of retirement.  As a long-time consultant, I have often coached business owners through growth and shrinking of businesses, and I was inspired to pursue professional coaching in order to more formerly offer programs for these  transitions, which can often be complex and challenging to navigate.  I also enjoy working with rising leaders as they take on more responsibilities and expand their professional role and personal growth.

What is Your Background?

When I began my consulting business, I was newly married and had recently become a mom.  Talk about transitions!  I engaged a coach to try to find my footing and count this as one of the best decisions for my life and work.  My coach is someone I often call on for a tune up.
While consulting, I felt a calling to engage more deeply with clients and their team members.  In 2024, I began coursework and certification with the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI), one of the most respected coach training centers, The methods and values of CTI echoed those I uphold and placed an emphasis on creativity, intuition, and being in the moment.  In a coaching relationship, I value trust, creativity, passion, ethical guardrails, and honesty.

If coaching is of interest to you, I encourage you to drop me a line and schedule a 60-minute chemistry call free of charge.  Let's see if we are a good fit to work together.
